Sustainability is commonly defined as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”  It cannot be achieved by one organization alone.  However, we believe that we can make an important contribution to Panama's economic and social sustainability.

Minera Panama promotes a relationship of mutual respect, open dialogue, and ongoing consultation and cooperation with neighboring communities.

We also promote local employment and opportunities for growth, investment and business for local residents. Our long-term goal is to facilitate a real sustainable economic development for local communities beyond the mine's lifespan.
